Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/26/2022

Number: 12

We have 2 resident adult males; one in the front yard and one in the back yard, opposite corners. Each seems very comfortable leisurely fattening up for migration, while lots of juveniles chase one another and fuss each other out. The adult females, all done with their mothering duties for this season, also seem rather relaxed and hang out in the trees near the flowers and feeders. I so enjoy their presence each year and love being out in the gardens with them. They come up to me and squeak as if to say hi. Our 3 year old daughter and I name each of them every year as we spend time observing and learning their individual personalities. What a tremendous blessing they are.
