Saw 7 roosts tonight with quite a strong south wind and 76F. The Monarchs were down low tonight with some roosting on the grass no more than 12" from the ground. Roosts were 10,10,20,20, 70,80,100. When estimating roosts I round off and count from a distance with binoculars, not wanting to disturb them.

Also did a very brief check on the grassland and saw 6 walking in about 30'. They were on Meadow blazing star that still have some way to go.
