Monarchs at the Tip @ Point Pelee National Park before sunset. 23°c partly cloudy with NNE wind @ 16 kmh. Sunset @8:13. Overnight low forecast 13°c.
6:15-7:45- 26 seen with most nectaring on Woodland sunflowers & goldenrod at base of Tip Tower & along west path to Tip. 1 was seen near Sparrow Field.
All males. Most in good condition with one missing part of a wing (photo) & another having discolouration on wing near abdomen.
3 separately were seen near end of tree line in interior east side of tip roosted on bare branches/dead brown leaves & at about 12'-15' up. 1 flew to & settled in Hackberry near shuttle stop.
