1100-1130 observing, 79°F, Spotted an adult monarch flying over wildflower field then disappear amongst goldenrod and others, this is the first monarch seen at this location in fifteen days, suspect it was female based upon thick black lines.
Went to inspect a few milkweeds and see if I'd get a chance at a snapshot, no luck but found what looked like some recently eaten leaves, though no caterpillars. The air was sweet and thick with the smell of wildflowers.
