By sheer luck I managed to snap this neat photo of a male ruby throat coming to contend with a female RTHB at this feeder. The male RTHB was a little intimidated and went to the other feeder. This male and a few females have been nectaring vigorously at feeders and flowers. As I sat and watched the hummers feed I had a female RTHB hover 6 inches from my knee! And another female RTHB came within 12 inches of my face to check me out! So funny! Quitting time this evening was 8:03 pm CDT.
