All week I've been observing both a male & a pair of female adult ruby throated hummingbirds nectaring on my patch of day lillies & tiger lillies, as well as flowering weeds & my hummingbird feeder. They regularly come within 10 or 20 feet of where I'm sitting in the yard, but alas, the phone camera is too slow to load to catch a picture. One of the females buzzed me yesterday 3" from my pickup window & stared at me until I got my phone up to take the picture. Vroom & gone before I could focus on her...
