I just got a feeder and hung it on August 29th. On August 30th around 6:30 p.m. a hummingbird came to the feeder, but did not actually feed from it. It hovered around it in curiosity and then flew away.
This is all new to me so I really don't know if it was a male, female or juvenile. I just recall it was a dark colour.
