The ladies seem happy to have reclaimed the feeders with nearby flowers, after a very territorial adult male left. I saw two at one time today. They are using the feeders, getting nectar from the flowers, and gently letting a young song sparrow who's boss. Less food is being used at another feeder site now.
I f things haven't changed, they will leave in about a week, followed by some southbound travelers who are generally gone mid September. As always, I'll miss them.
