Adult monarchs were often seen in groups of 3 or 4 taking nectar from various purple prairie wild flowers and from sunflowers. Monarchs also were flying back and forth as between savanna prairie habitat and shaded upland forest tracts. Weather condition: Sunny and warm with light winds.
