The day started out with the Wind NW-11 mph from 9 to 11 AM. I went to the Lake Huron shoreline at Harrisville State Park and counted 12 monarchs in directional flight before the Wind turned W-18-34 mph at noon. I observed no more monarch to 1 PM, so I decided to look over some of my other locations in and around Harrisville and counted 10 monarchs nectaring at five locations. I returned home and counted 7 monarchs in my joe-pye-weed garden at 3:30 PM. They nectared until 7:35 PM. I also saw my friend (Larry) and he said he saw one early in the AM in town. The weather was mostly sunny with the Temperature topping out at 80F.
