Not sure [when the roost formed] because was visiting Dimock, SD & I only stayed overnight. Saw roost around 4:30 pm Saturday then again Sunday morning 8:00 am

Nectar sources: Flower pots & home gardens. Its a small town & there are corn or soy bean crops as well.

[Roosting in] Silver Maple & shielded from wind.

Monarchs were roosted approx 6 to 12 feet high & I went up (not too close) & counted.

Length of observation was approx 10 minutes in the evening & another 10 minutes in the morning.
Southeast wind with temps high 60’s.
