There were 20 monarchs on the liatris plants at the Friends of North Prairie Native Gardens, at the Prairie Village Park in North Prairie. This native garden was just planted last year, 2021 through the work of dedicated volunteers. It was a very windy day, and the monarchs were flying over the liatris, rotating on each bud to get as much nectar as possible.
