There were several very large monarchs. 1 female appeared to be laying eggs. She was on Swamp milkweed. But after a very quick check no eggs were found. There were a few noticeably weathered monarchs, condition 2. Most all of the monarchs were nectaring on Joe Pye.
This was beautiful wetland habitat with swamp and showy milkweed, nuttall sunflower, queen Ann’s lace, Russian olives, cotton woods, Teasdale and thistle.
