Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/06/2022

Number: 6

6 female ruby throats (and maybe a juvenile mixed in) were really busy fueling up. They were voraciously feeding from black-&-blue salvias, Wendy's Wish (hot pink) salvias, Lantana, taurenia, verbena, salmon fuchsia, coleus, agastache, and firecrackers. As well as several nectar feeders. Surprisingly they went to roost for the night rather early at 7:44 pm CDT. Migrating adult male and juvenile male RTHBs left a few days ago. No males seen for a few days now.
