This male ruby throated hummingbird has been with us since April. I can tell he is getting ready to leave on his long journey south. He sat for about 20 minutes, sipping nectar and looking around...as if to put to memory his summer home. Another male tried to entice him to a chase but he stood his ground and continued to drink and look around at his surroundings. God speed little one.
