Two females are guarding the cypress vine in my community garden plot. They nectar in an area and then choose a spot to rest for 10 minutes and then continue nectaring as they methodically move through all the flowers in the garden. A behavior new to me in the morning when the dew is heavy on the tall heads of grasses with a drop of water hanging on the tip is the hummingbird flying right under the tip and getting the water droplet.
