Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/07/2022

Number: 1

I saw my regular female mid morning. She spent a bit of time at the feeder, both eating and passing time, as the feeder is one with a built-in perch. She moved to the rope she likes and spent a bit more time there and she was off.

I believe I saw one fly by later, at full speed.

I wasn't nearby this afternoon, when I usually see my regular visitor. I won't be here at the usual late afternoon time tomorrow, so I hope to see my friend one more time before she heads south. Last year, I saw the last of my regulars on 9/8. The following week saw those flying through. Interesting to note that, for the first time, the birds seem to be leaving in a staggered fashion, according to both personal observation and nectar consumption.
