While on a ride last evening behind our house, around 7:30 pm found roughly 50 or so monarchs starting to roost for the night in a hedgerow with maple trees and a clover field next to it. The monarchs were using two separate trees in the hedgerow with roughly 25 monarch on each. There are lots of golden rod growing in the hedge row which some of butterflies were still nectaring on. It was a calm evening with temps in the high 60s.
