This picture doesn’t do it justice of how many were flying around like bats and hanging from the trees. Oak trees seemed to be the favorite choice with no wind on a warm 82 degree evening. This weekend is peak migration in the Chicago area. There are acres of wildflowers in the area that fed them during the day to allow them to fuel up before continuing on the rest of their journey tomorrow morning.
