Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/11/2022

Number: 8

8 female RTHBs (some juveniles I'm guessing) were jetting around today. All were really nectaring heavily at feeders and flowers about equally from each source. And some really cool aerial fights. All seem in good shape and fairly plump now. Some are quite adept at hiding among the salvias to get a break from disputes. If you look close there is a hummer on 3 of 4 feeders in the picture. Last RTHB left for evening roost after nectaring at some salvias at 7:44 pm CDT. High temperatures have fallen into high 60s, low 70s the last two days.
