A 40° start to the day. This female was struggle to fly just after sunrise. The grass was cold with dew and she was in trouble laying in the cold wet ground. I carefully picked her up and placed her on a wooden pallet that was in full sun. She sat comfortably and spread her wing to warm herself. The other 11 eleven were throughout the day as was I doing my outdoor tasks.

Asters are the primary bloom currently. Goldenrod is all but done for this season.
