We have an expansive milkweed patch in an unused pasture. I did not walk into the patch, but on the perimeter I saw 7 caterpillars in two different batches. I saw 5 fully grown (one was hanging like a J by its tail) and 2 smaller ones. There have not been any earlier in this summer.
