Part of tagging activity in Scarborough Ontario

Weather: Lighter N to NE winds. Cooler temperatures in the morning around 9-10 degrees Celsius. Warmed to high teens and low 20s in the afternoon. Moderate humidity and clear skies mostly.
Movement was slow in the morning.
Just after 2 pm movement picked up.

New set of migrant birds arrived overnight. Began seeing ruby crowned kinglets and white-throated sparrows. Spotted a Swainson’s thrush as well as a brown thrasher.

Tagged butterfly AEZG 033 has stayed in Rosetta McClain Gardens and has defended some territory of nectar plants. See photo of 033 tangling with another male Monarch.
