270 Monarchs observed between 10:04AM and 10:34AM flying from east to west from the extreme Westerly tip of the sand spit at Rondeau Park Ontario., directly across from Erieau marina. Sunny, clear, 73 degrees F winds SW @ 3 miles/hour. Dozens more observed nectaring on goldenrod. Also dozens puddling on the wet sand at the shore’s edge. Large stand of Cottonwood and Maples with huge amounts of goldenrod. I suspect they are roosting in those trees overnight.
