The second on is in a garden just below this one and I am not able take a photo very well. This one is on the underside of a deck handrail. We have been watching it for a few weeks and got concerned it was very late to in the chrysalis state. We planted many milkweed and have watched the summer activities with the monarchs. We had counted 20 chrysalis along our fence behind where the majority of the milkweed is growing. They have since emerged. These two are the last of the ones we were able to locate.
