Point Pelee National Park at the Tip 6pm-7:50pm
23°c on arrival, sunny with light southerly wind @ 3/10kmh which into the evening slightly increased to 6/19kmh.
At 7:50 departure 20°c.
Daytime high 25c.
Overnight low 19c.
Sunset 7:37.
Driving down to Tip observed about 10 monarchs sipping nectar from Woodland sunflowers near Sparrow field.
No monarchs seen at Tip shuttle stop.
Walked further south to Tip & observed a few monarchs attempt to fly over the lake from the east side but returned to trees.
6:30 In interior trees near east side many monarchs flitted about with clusters beginning to be established on bare branches & grapevine.
Monarchs continued to arrive and many small clusters began forming & increasing in number. Lots of photos being taken by many visitors.
7:15 back at shuttle stop area many monarchs flitted about & clusters began being established high up in Hackberry tree canopy with branches cascading over shuttle road & on Virginia creeper vine & on mulberry tree.
Clusters in both areas were numerous 1's, 2's & 3's & several others of 5, 6, 7, 9, & up to largest of 17 all in sheltered areas & 5' through to 40' up.
All appeared pristine.
Many visitors.
