Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/17/2022

Number: 2

This picture was taken today (Saturday) at 1:33 pm.

I went out in the morning as I usually do, looking and listening for hummingbirds and no hummingbirds were around. I was in and out through the day and finally when I walked over to the side of the house where the big group of Turks Cap flowers are, I spotted one at the flowers and it flew up to the Bald Cypress Trees that are located right on the other side of our fence in the park, once it got up there, it perched on a little twig as seen in the picture. Then I heard and seen another and the chase was on between the two.

I will be posting a picture under the category (Hummingbird nectaring from flowers) later. I want to try to get a better picture.

This morning started out warmer than the past several weeks. Day started out with 74 degrees and the high was 93 degrees, when standing in the sun, it felt hotter than 93 degrees.
