Our tiny solo migrator who has been in the south habitat. This habitat is farther away from the house. She's visiting salvias, lantanas, and flying high into the pine trees to rest between floral visits this morning.
Yesterday afternoon, our hummingbird activity was progressively declining / diminishing in the floral banquets. Last night I didn't see any activity in the habitats surrounding the house.
AccuWeather predicts: Wednesday Sept 21st as our last 75 degree day. After Sept 21st our temperatures will generally be in the 60s during the day and 50-40 at night.
Flower banquets will continue to bloom into October and our feeders will be clean, full and available for at least 2 weeks after the "Last Hummer" has been seen.
We enjoy hosting and helping any "Tardy Birds" who may come our way.
Happy late migration season everyone.
