The Wind was NW-7 to 23 mph along the Lake Huron shoreline all day at Harrisville State Park. From 9 am to 4 pm, my friend (Larry) and I counted 172 monarchs (24.4 per hour) in directional flight overhead going south. The first monarch observed was at 9:23 am with the last monarch seen counted at 3:44 pm. This so far has been the most monarchs this year in one day. It was sunny with white fluffy clouds with the Temperature topping out at 78F.
