Very lite south breeze today .... early morning temps at 70 degrees F. Peak temps reaching mid to upper 90's in front of an approaching cold front with temperatures expected to drop 20 to 30 degrees by tomorrow.
Had 6 Monarchs on 6 adjacent zinnias nectaring and DID NOT have my camera with. Did another "instantaneous" count ... a walk-a-round the garden area .... and counted 25 ... over a 2 or 3 minute period. Likely no double counts or only one or two at most.
This MAY be THE PEAK day for the area if the temps drop precipitously. And maybe not if they rebound next week as predicted.
