Point Pelee National Park at the Tip 6-7:30 pm Sunset 7:29
26°c, mostly sunny with WSW wind @ 18/24 kmh.
Daytime high 27c real feel 29c, 73% humidity.
Cold front arriving. Overnight low 12c.
Fall temps arrive.

Tip gate- 13 monarchs flitting about with 3 individually roosted in vines & a dogwood tree.

Just north of Sparrow field- a nice cluster of 17 on Hackberry branch cascading over road.

Near no entry end of shuttle road observed 6 individually roosted.

6:17- Shuttle stop area- 5 clusters already being established in center sheltered area on vines & on Hackberry trees. About 65 monarchs.
This area by 7:15 increased to 14 separate clusters of (1, 2's 3's, 4's,) a few 5's, 2x7, 2x10, 12, 28, 50. Total of about 190. Roosts from about 10' to 35' up.

6:35 Further south in Tip interior (northern end...strong wind was cutting right through south end) observed 2 nice clusters on Grapevine & Virginia creeper of 13 & 35. Numerous individually roosting 1,s, 2's, 3's etc. Roosts at 8-20' up. On east sheltered side of trees.

In photos observed one male with piece missing from wing. All others appeared pristine.
