This little guy (juvenile male ruby-throated hummingbird) has been packing on the calories. This is the 3rd or 4th year that I have observed hummingbirds getting a bit chubby before they mirgrate. I'm in Michigan and they've got a ways to go. We generally have hummingbirds until the end of September, but this one looks ready to go.
