Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/22/2022

Number: 4

1 of 4 female/juvenile ruby throated hummingbirds. She's keeping close watch over her territory. About 1/2 of the RTHBs that were here about a week ago have headed on south. We're down to about the usual number of hummers at this point of the fall migration. Great to watch them perching, feeding and chasing each other. 1 female loves to sit and feed on a high view feeder for minutes at a time. High temperatures are now in the 50's and feeding time now ends well before 7:30 p.m. CDT.
