Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/24/2022

Number: 3

The first one I seen at 10:30 am was flying tree top height south-southwesterly direction flying as fast as it could go.(trees in this area are at least 50 yrs old) The second one was a half hour later, flying between 10-15 feet off the ground in a southerly direction not as fast as the first one but still obvious that it was leaving town. The third one was just 5 minutes ago, about 2 hours since the sighting of the second one. This third one was just like the second one, flying 10-15 feet off the ground in a southerly direction at approximately the same rate of speed as the second one. Obvious that it was leaving town but gliding more than flapping it's wings. Flying over flowers both natural native plants and flower beds without investigating.
