Sightings report image

Date: 09/24/2022

Number: 100

We drove down to Louisburg KS to the pumpkin patch and from 9:30am-11:45am this morning we witnessed a large number of monarchs heading SW.

We have had several in our garden today feeding mostly on the butterfly bush.

It is peak migration week for our area in Eastern Kansas.

At the time of this report it is 87 degrees, sunny, 28% humidity, very lite/calm wind out if the South.

Activity has picked up since late yesterday afternoon, prior to that we had a rain event in our our that halted any movement from late Thursday into yesterday.
