Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/24/2022

Number: 3

About 1pm saw one then two more Monarchs in my yard nectaring on the zinnias. They then found the asters, and some wild flowers in the yard. Mostly they stayed with the asters the rest of the afternoon. They would flit around the yard from time to time, sometimes fly with each other, one would leave briefly, then come right back. Eventually they left, one at a time. Saw one go into a neighbor's tree, one flew over our house, the last one flew up into a big tree near my flowers and stayed there.
They were in my yard nectaring for almost 4 1/2 hours, from about 1:00pm until 5:30 pm. I've never had them stay so long before.
