Monarchs were nectaring in the prairie fields that surround the picnic area at Goose Lake State Park. At around 6:30 PM the monarchs started coming in from the fields to a copse of trees in the center of the picnic area. Trees that were being used for roosts included mainly oak and black walnut. Temperature was in the 70's with calm winds.
