Robert Moses Beach/FIre Island National Lighthouse On a sunny afternoon with temps in the 70's and a NW Wind @ 10 mph I spotted 270 monarchs from 5 pm -6:45 pm. There is adequate food sources in the area and the monarchs remained on many of them even as the sun was setting.
All looked very healthy and were accompanied by dragonflies and damselflies.
