Monarch Egg Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/30/2022

Number: 1

I'm still seeing Monarchs daily in both yards.

I have Asclepia fasicularis and Asclepia californica/showy in front and back yards. The front yard are mostly dead (aphids and general season's end) but at least half the backyard's milkweeds are in good shape.

A young, large, female monarch moving swiftly among milkweeds stopped several times. I checked a spot and found this egg only, but did not do exhaustive search. Will check milkweeds again, for larvae, across the next week.
