Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/01/2022

Number: 200

While hiking on the ocean bluff at Point Michaud , Cape Breton Island , Canada , we saw hundreds of monarch butterflies! I’m not sure if it has anything to do with Hurricane Fiona that hit the island 7 days prior. The bluff is very rugged and directly overlooking the ocean and covered in asters and cranberries. It was truly magical ; it was very windy and they were everywhere !
