5:45 over west path further down to Tip observed on Hackberry tree branch cascading about 12'up over path about 16 monarchs already in an established roost with another 10 monarchs in immediate area.
6:30 observed a cluster of 3 or 4 being established on south side of very tall Hackberry tree in Tip interior. By 7pm this cluster increased to about 10 monarchs 50' up. Two may have been a mated pair. Seemed attached but not properly.
Numerous flying overhead at treetops.
All but one monarch appeared pristine. One had a torn wing.
Plenty of numerous species of asters in the area plus throughout the park as well as goldenrod throughout the park with much of it senesced.
