We checked the spot that we normally see Monarchs over the years along the Lake’s edge. With the drought, the lake has considerably dropped back from its normal shoreline. The willows are very thinned out in the area and we only county 20 Monarchs roosting this year at this spot. They seem to prefer the more wooded area on the other side of the park this year.
