Chisholm Creek Park-Wichita, KS

From 9AM to 11AM this morning I observed a total of about 30 adult Monarchs at CCP. I few were nectaring briefly on various plants and then soon left, going directly south. Most of the 30 (or so) were flitting about individually in a grove of trees adjacent to the parking lot near the Great Plains Nature Center. I managed to tag and release 6. I left the area at 1100am as the numbers of Monarchs I was seeing was much diminished.
