Sorry the picture's not too clear. There was a common milkweed along the path into the prairie with three stages of monarch larvae: 1/2", 1", and 2".

The prairie plants range from 4' to 8' tall and were filled with pollinators of every kind.
In my hour there, I saw 3 or four adult monarchs and these three larvae.
