Had only 3 monarchs this year that I saw, however on Oct. 2, 2022 finally I finally saw two monarchs on the zinnias in the backyard in the early afternoon sun. The smaller one flew away before I could get my camera, but the larger one circled back several times to continue feeding on one of the zinnias. Had a much smaller area of zinnias and fewer in the sun.

What was remarkable to me was the fact that it was in such perfect condition. Last year many of the Monarch's wings were very torn by the time they got here to McCook, Nebraska.
