October 6, 2022 Cross Hill. SC Monarchs over Lake Greenwood. Seems like a defi tie peak migration. We counted over 30 in less than 5 minutes on one large bush. They are drinking heavily on buddleia. Other flowers are available for butterflies as well. Continual fly in at 5:30 PM.
More monarchs arrived after 6:30.
I will be looking for a possible roost.
I have never gazed upon so many monarchs at one time in South Carolina before.
Amazing grace for sure.
