Seems later than usual, but the Monarchs are finally flying along the Blue Ridge Parkway. At The Cherry Cove Overlook mile marker 415.7 elevation 4327 we counted 13 Monarchs between 2:30pm to 3:30pm. From 4:40pm to 5:40pm we counted 51 Monarchs giving us a total of 64 Monarchs in our 2 hour timeframe. It was mostly cloudy, around 63F and 2 to 4 mph winds.
