Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/06/2022

Number: 4

We are down to either 2 or 3 "resident" juveniles, plus another traveler that arrived late afternoon. The travelers have been stopping by every single day. Those that arrive late afternoon stay at least until the next day, sometimes longer. I'm fairly certain that our last juvenile male left today before 4pm, leaving our last 2 juvenile females. There are still lots of flowers and the feeders are all up, clean and fresh. Both of our remaining females were quite content working the flowers today, one in the front gardens and the other in the back gardens. These two have become quite comfortable with me and will perch near me when I'm outside and one will even come looking for me. My 3 year old daughter and I named these two Willow and Gidget. Our last juvenile male that left today was named Percy. We so enjoy our hummingbirds the 6 months they are here each year. God speed, little ones!
