2 Monarchs seen in my Peoria, AZ pollinator garden. One photographed nectaring on A. subulata, 12:20pm, 92 degrees, clear and calm. Sex unknown, as I approached to get closer for better photo, it flew off, over the house and away. This best photo, think possible female, but unknown, condition appeared fresh, no damage seen.
A 2nd Monarch flying through the back yard about 11:30am; never landed where I could capture photo, zooming and chasing a large number of Queen butterflies often nectaring on Gregg's Blue Mistflower. No photo available.
