Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/08/2022

Number: 300

10/8/22 - We have just returned home after being gone for 10 days. The monarchs are here. I'm not sure how long they’ve been here. The numbers are few (250 to 300). They are mainly in our Pine trees. A few have been nibbling nectar from the yellow espiranza. We have lantana, espiranza and mexican heather. Ill watch to see if they are roosting here. 300 may seem like a lot to some but in 2014, we had THOUSANDS of Monarchs! But, even one Monarch makes my heart sing!
